Promise

God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. -- Hebrews 6:17

So while I didn’t have to swear by an oath, I did, to accommodate your doubts. I have bound myself with an oath to provide you with every confidence so that you can get hold of my promises in a world of broken promises. I have sworn on the highest, most honorable name I can swear on - my own. My oath is meant to give you deep confidence that I will not change my mind about you. You will inherit all I have promised to you through Christ.” -- GOD
